Playing Catch-up: July Week 1 (Jn30-Jl6)

Wrangling these two littles all day sure can be exhausting, but it’s moments like this that remind me how truly blessed I am to have them.  I captured this moment after Josh asked to hold Audree so that she could go nigh-night; something that Jake or I do every time before we lay her in bed.  This was soon followed by goodnight kisses and hugs. Melt my heart.  Love!

Josh admiring his "dah-wer".  When he came up to show me this, I didn't know that he knew the word dollar, so it caught me by surprise.  Love his growing curiosity and vocabulary.

Audree does this really cool (a.k.a not cool) thing lately where she gets mouthfuls of water from her sippy and then spits them out all over her shirt. This results in multiple shirt changes a day. Good thing she’s cute right?!

Audree being a cheeser and sporting her new side half-pony.  Such a cutie!!

Okay, apparently I shouldn't use the plastic rain/wind barrier on the trailer at all when we go for bike rides, no matter how windy it is.  I vented it this time and they still got ridiculously sweaty (note, it's mostly on their heads because we make them wear helmets, but still.)

Audree's first otter pop.  She'll get the idea. :)

Had a little too much fun styling Audree's hair today.  Can't wait for her little red locks to grow in even more.

Neighborhood parade in South Jordan.  Happy 4th!!

One of our family traditions (which we adapted from Jake's family tradition while he was growing up) is getting pizza and watching the fireworks.  We were so excited that we were able to share it with my family this year too!  We went with my mom, little brothers Eli and Enoch and Enoch's wife Tacy.  Such a fun time!! The kids had such a fun time seeing the BIG fireworks, enjoying one of their favorite foods (pizza), and playing with sparklers and pop-its before the show started.  I'm so glad that we were able to make some fun memories with my family and the kids!  Josh was especially fun to watch because he was off-the-walls estactic about fireworks.  Every single one that when off he would scream "WHOOAA!!! FIREWORKS!!""  So fun!

Our best, but messy, idea to occupy the kids during a LONG day of car shopping.  Audree shoved it all in her mouth at once, while Josh chewed the bottom of his cone before eating the ice cream on top.  Turned out to be quite entertaining!! Ha!

Josh playing London Bridges with his Aunt's Tamsin and Alaina.  He was loving it!! He loves visits to Grandpa's house!
