Fort time!  Honestly this is one of my favorite childhood pastimes.  Me and my siblings would make blanket forts in the basement all the time.  Glad that I could start making these memories with my own children.

I can't help but laugh when I watch this.  He hates eating strawberries but part of his food exposure is that he has to eat them in order to get more of the food he really wants (in this case waffles).  Proud of this kid and how far he's come.  Even though he's still got the face, he's made A LOT of progress.

Zoo visit with some good friends.  All of these kids and families are from Jake's old roommates while at the cabin in college.  It's really amazing what has happened in just 5 years.  In this group alone we had 5 moms and 7 kids pictured here and 4 1/2 kids missing from the picture.  So fun that we all live close together right now.  Such a fun group of friends.

Josh's new little "trick" in the tub is lying down.  He used to HATE and I mean HATE laying doing in the water, so for him to do this on his own is huge.  He loves to do it all the time now and when he does it he keeps saying "Momma, look at me!"  Too cute!

This crazy-haired girl is always a mess and I feel like I just bathed her.  Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like they bathe their kids to just have them get dirty again instantly. :) Good life of a child, I guess!

Beautiful day for a run!  Cloudless blue sky and green fields just like this.  Sure am going to miss living in this part of Idaho when we have to move in just 10 months.  Crazy to believe it has gone that fast.

I found the best toys to accompnay us on our walks/runs.  They stick them out of the stroller and they just spin and spin.  Great entertainment for these littles!

Since Jake's been gone (on his audition rotations), I resort to breakfast for dinner a lot.  It's quick, easy and the kids love it.  I'm not complaining.  I love breakfast!

Poor Audree broke out with a hot, nasty, viral foot rash.  We are guessing it was from wearing her Keen shoes so much and especially while they were wet.  Luckily it wasn't hand, foot and mouth and didn't spread anywhere else.  We kept a steroid cream on it for about a week and then she had huge peeling spots and then it finally cleared up.  Luckily I don't think it hurt her very much, but still no fun!

At just 17 months, this girl refuses to let me feed her anymore, which means she's actually getting really good at using her spoon herself. I just don't want her to grow up.

Playing at the Idaho Falls Farmer's Market.  Fun day to get out with the kid.  So many activities and things for them to do this week.

I get a headache from just watching them.  Little crazies head banging on the couch.  One of their favorite activities. 

Random Audree update:

Because I'm so far behind, but I also want to remember little things about my babies, I thought I'd take a minute for a random Audree update.

Some Audree-isms that have been coming up in the past month or two are:

Audree makes this "aagh" noise when she gets mad or frustrated.  It's such a funny noise and one of these I'll have to get to recording it.  The day that she started making it, she did it all day, all the time.  She's now tapered back a little bit, but it's still around.  She makes this noise if she gets hit accidentally by something (like Josh going down the slide and hitting her in the back), or if she's just frustrated with something.  One of the funniest times that she used it is when we were getting ready to make some popcorn with the kids.  We pulled two chairs up to the counter so that they could watch.  Josh kept going back and forth on which chair he wanted to sit in and Audree who was behind him kept doing the side-step thing back and forth until eventually she just went "AAGH" and Josh picked and way.  So funny!!

She is also picking up on so many new words and phrases.  Some of my favorites as of recently are:

- "go-kay" for okay
- "nope"
- "dank-you" for thank you
- "yeah" (love how she says it, she draws out the end)

She has also been able to link her words really well like "dank-you mama".  I'll have to get Jake to add an update to this, because there are so many more that I'm forgetting right now, but wanted to take a minute to jot them down while I was thinking about it.

All ready for church.  I find that I end up taking so many pictures of Audree dressed up in her clothes, just because I think she's adorable.  That's not a bad thing, right?!

I love watching these two interact, especially when they can make each other belly laugh.  These two always have a blast in the tub too.  Bound to be a blast every time we have bath time.

My little shopping buddy.  At Smith's here in town they have these little kid shopping carts and Josh ate it up.  He loved it!  P.S. I only got hit in the back of the legs once, not too bad. :)

One of her first nights without her binky and it was a success.  I gave her a water in bed instead to help distract and soothe her a little bit.  This is how she fell asleep. Too funny!!

Joshua is eating WATERMELON! For those of you who know about his eating issues, this is HUGE! Yes I did bribe him by putting powdered sugar on it, but he did it, came back for more and even finished a whole triangle.  I never though I'd see the day.  He has made a lot of progress.

This is why I never clean up the "playroom", because within a day it turns out looking just like this.  Good thing it's out of our everyday living areas, otherwise I think I'd go crazy (and have to cut down on our toy lot.)

Popsicles and sunshine.  I woke up this morning realizing that it's already August and can't believe that soon enough these warm summer evenings will soon be past us.  Summer and sunshine, please don't end.

One of the kid's favorite activities is visiting the fish at the library. Josh gets so excited to see all the different sizes and colors of the fish and point out if they are swimming forward or backward.

Super fun morning with family at Ammon Days.  We enjoyed all sorts of activities like the helicopter egg drop, car show, face painting, games with prizes, and much more!  Josh was even able to turn the lights on in a police car!  He loved it!  I sure love this time of year!
